Red Palm Oil

What it is, and how it’s used

Unrefined red palm oil, thick and richly coloured, with the earthy depth that gives Liberian soups their character. A spoonful is the starting point for cassava leaf, palm butter, and pepper soup. Solid when cool and liquid when warm — both are normal.
